Diving in the kelp forests around the Channel Islands is a unique experience similar to tropical waters; the waters are clear with lavish flora and fauna representing every hue imaginable. The rocks are overlaid with brightly colored bouquets of anemones, starfish, and garlands of hydrocoral, sponges, and sea fans. Moray eels, octopus, abalone, rock scallops, California spiny lobsters, and a host of others inhabit rock fissures and crevices. The itinerary works like this: We get on the boat by 8:00pm Tues, August 10 and motor through the night to San Clemente Island. We dive all day Wed/Thur/Fri as we move
North and dive Sat. morning then head back to port by 5:00pm.
